Opion essay: Adoption

Nowadays, adoption is becoming a real option against having your own children. This is also important for the orphans because it's a way to help them to have a family and a real support.

Today, families consider the option of adoption due to many factors, such as health problems or just to help orphans. In my opinion it's good to do this because to be a adoptive parent to must pass some conditions not just the aim of having a kid. However, the adoption process is really difficult and hard. Pre-adoptive parents have to spend nearly two years to adopt and, even though  you pass these conditions, you might not get a kid.
I belive adopting a child can be so rewarding because you provide a support to them, in education, health care or even love which they wouldn't get in any other situation.

To sup, I think Goverments should encourage adoption to help these kids and make the adoption process easier and faster.

Book overview: The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells

-  Summary: Griffin, who is the main character, turned himself invisible with an earlier experiment. He enters a town and sets up a lab in an inn where he works night and day to discover a formula that will reverse his invisibility. When he accidentally revealed himself, he became immature and violent until he is forced to run and find a new hiding place. As more people became aware of his existence, his situation became more dangerous. Finally, he popped into the home of a former college professor who he assumes will be interested in his experiments and willing to help him. However, the doctor, Mr. Kemp, read about Griffin’s insane actions against people in the town and then, he found Griffin unreliable. Griffin is hunted down, caught and killed. After that, he became visible again.

-  Culture: This story is set in the town of Iping, West Sussex, in England in 1897 and it's related to the dangerous power of modern science. It's also in a line of literary characters of mad scientists like Frankestein, the prototype of the man who isolates himself from his fellows to achieve an ambitious project and in the process loses his humanity. The Invisible Man has tended to focus on the scientific aspects of the story, especially about the ethic problems of modern technology.

-  Passage: "Everyone began to move. They expected scars, wounds, something ugly, but they saw - nothing! The bandages and false hair flew across the passage into the bar[...]
For the man who stood there shouting was a man up to the shoulders, and then - nothing!".

I found this passage important because is the moment in which it's discovered the real invisible man's identity. And because of this all the story starts to develop.

For and against essay: Online dating

Is online dating a good way to start a relationship? Well, people more or less have a clear mind about this issue.
On the one hand, online dating is really useful to find someone with your same likes due to the profiles, which are a fast and clear way to spot the candidates. This kind of dating is basically used by shy people or people who don’t have enough time to date in any other situation.
On the other hand, this way of meeting people is not the best of all because you don’t really know the one you are chatting with until you meet up or, at least, make a “webcam date”. In addition, that unknown could steal your identity with all your data.
Taking all these facts into account, I personally believe that online dating can be a good way to meet people, but you must be really careful.
